11 Oct Selfmade eyelash serum for long and dense lashes
First and foremost, our eyelashes serve the purpose of keeping foreign objects out of our eyes. Therefore, we have already formed them at birth. This type of hair is also called terminal hair or permanent hair and the head hair and eyebrows also belong to this type of hair. Just like our other hair, eyelashes consist mainly of keratin.
On average we have 420 eyelashes. 150 – 250 lashes are on the upper eyelid and between 50 – 100 on the lower. It takes 3 months for the lashes to grow to their full length, then they fall out and a new cycle begins. If the lashes are torn out by external influences at the beginning of the growth cycle, a complete cycle must be passed through before the lashes grow back.
To support your lashes in their growth cycle and to make sure that they become resistant to external influences, we recommend a regular application of our eyelash serum.
Raw materials used
For beautiful long thick lashes and eyebrows, castor oil can be a great helper. This skin-friendly oil does not harm the sensitive area around the eyes (however, it is advisable to test the oil on another part of the skin beforehand) and has very good care properties. Eyelashes and eyebrows are moisturized, which makes them supple and less likely to break.
Xanthan gum is used as a gel former and stabilizer for hot and cold stirred mixtures.
Vitamin E oil
Vitamin E oil is a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals. These aggressive molecules are formed during the natural metabolic processes in the body. In addition, vitamin E also stabilizes the durability of oily substances by slowing down their oxidation and rancidity.
Panthenol protects skin and hair from damaging external influences. Panthenol gives hair a smoother and shinier appearance because it lies on the hair like a film. It also repairs minor hair damage.
Allantoin moistens the eyelashes and thus ensures that any existing wounds heal faster. It also has anti-inflammatory effects and stimulates the regeneration of the skin.
