Cypresses are evergreen plants or trees that form female and male cones. They are found in all warm climates, in western North America as well as Central America, China, Vietnam, Africa and the Middle East.
Extraction of essential cypress oil
The clear to pale yellow oil is obtained by steam distillation of the cones. 70 – 100 kilograms yield 1 litre of oil.

Essential cypress oil strengthens the skin and is ideal for oily and sagging skin due to its balancing effect. Thanks to its antiseptic effect it supports the healing of blemishes. Cypress has a warming, drying and calming effect.

Cypress essential oil should not be applied to the skin undiluted. Also, one should not take more than four drops per day.
