Plant

The evergreen orange tree belongs to the genus of citrus plants. It originates from China or Southeast Asia and is nowadays mainly cultivated in Brazil, China and India. The tree is of small to medium height with a maximum height of 10 m.

Extraction of essential orange oil

The light or orange-greenish oil is obtained by cold pressing the fruit skin. 200 – 300 kilograms of fruit skin make one litre of the essential oil.

Cosmetic use of essential orange oil

Essential orange oil stimulates collagen formation and also promotes the skin’s natural ability to regenerate. It has a firming and astringent effect, clarifies oily skin and leaves tired skin looking refreshed. The oil preserves the natural radiance of the skin with its calming and regenerating effect.

Buying & using essential orange oil – what to consider?

In general, the essential oil of the orange is well tolerated. However, in the case of very sensitive skin the oil should be used sparingly.
