Detox Scalp Scrub with Himalayan Salt

Detox Kopfhaut-Peeling

In contrast to the skin of other parts of the body, the scalp has more hair follicles and sebaceous glands and is crossed by numerous blood vessels. The sebaceous glands are connected to the hair follicles and form a unit. Through the sebaceous glands, the sebum reaches the skin surface and, together with other lipids, forms a hydrolipid film. The high number of follicles and glands in our scalp in combination with the special skin flora makes the scalp more susceptible to certain skin diseases. Therefore, gentle and individual care is necessary for a healthy scalp.

The scalp, like other parts of the skin, benefits from a gentle peeling. This produces a peeling effect that removes dead skin cells and the uppermost horny layer. This cleanses the hair follicles, stimulates the blood circulation of the scalp, and thus promotes potential hair growth (not in the case of hereditary). By removing the dead skin cells, nutrients can better penetrate the scalp. Finally, these benefits can help with the following scalp problems:

  • dandruff
  • itchy scalp
  • greasy hair
  • hair loss

Raw materials used

Detox Kopfhaut-Peeling
Ingredients
50 gr himalayan salt
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (1 tsp with a sensitive scalp)
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tsp honey
15 drops of essential rosemary oil
Himalayan salt

Unlike other salts, Himalayan salt contains other minerals such as iron and magnesium. Furthermore, the salt regulates the acid balance of the body and has an antiseptic as well as a healing effect and protects the skin from infections.

Apple Cider vinegar

As for the skin, apple cider vinegar is also an all-rounder for the hair and scalp. Due to the antibacterial effect of apple cider vinegar, it fights bacteria and fungi on the scalp, which are often triggers for hair loss and dandruff.

Avocado oil

Due to its high palmitoleic acid content, avocado oil has regenerative properties and is well tolerated. Especially itchy and dry scalps benefit from the achieved lipidation of the skin.

Honey

Honey stimulates the blood circulation of the scalp and can thus be supportive in case of hair loss. Honey can also help with dandruff, as it inhibits infections and bacteria, which are responsible for this.

Rosemary essential oil

The essential oil stimulates blood circulation and prevents hair loss and dandruff formation.
