Used raw materials

Kamillenöl in Glasflasche neben Kamillenblüten
Water phase

Rose water

Rose water soothes the skin, strengthens its protective shield and reduces redness. It also refreshes and smells wonderful. Of course other hydrosols such as thyme or witch hazel hydrosol can also be used for the water phase.

Oil phase
10 ml almond oil
5 ml Jojobaöl
2 gr berry wax

Almond oil

Almond oil is a versatile base oil suited for all skin types. The extremely mild oil is very well tolerated and penetrates well into the skin, even into deeper skin layers. For rough, dry and scaly skin and also for combination and oily skin, it reduces moisture deficiency and skin roughness and makes the skin pleasantly soft and elastic. The tocopherol content of the oil has antioxidant and skin-protecting effects. Almond oil is also considered a light, natural sun protection.

Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is often used in cosmetics because it nourishes the skin and is absorbed by the skin almost without residue. Thus, no oily film remains on the skin. The oil is well tolerated by all skin types and has a moisturizing as well as antibacterial effect. Due to its good depth effect, it regulates the moisture balance and makes the skin soft, supple, and resistant at the same time.

Berry wax

Berry wax is suitable as a consistency-giving, slightly co-emulsifying, and refatting component in cosmetic products. It can also be used as a vegan substitute for beeswax. In skincare applications, however, it is much lighter and less film-forming than beeswax.

Kamillencreme in Glastiegel
3 gr Emulsan

Emulsan is a mild and light emulsifier recommended for lotions and rather light creams. However, the emulsifier is also suitable for higher fat phases.

1 ml Bisabolol
5 drops essential chamomille oil
1 ml Rokonsal (preservative)

Bisapolol is a main active ingredient of chamomile. It has anti-inflammatory and soothing effects, so it is very suitable for sensitive skin. Bisabolol can be used as a good alternative to chamomile extracts, since it is less allergenic.

Essential chamomille oil

The chamomile oil of the true chamomile is extracted from the chamomile flower. The inky blue hue of the essential oil is formed during distillation when chamazulene is formed. Among the almost 200 species of chamomile that exist, the oil of blue chamomile is particularly healing. The reason for this is the high content of azulene, which soothes inflammation and irritation, has a balancing and regenerating effect, and promotes the healing of skin wounds. Optimal conditions to also help with blemished skin. In addition, textures containing azulene are said to shrink pores and deeply clarify the complexion when used regularly.

Since chamomile oil is an essential oil, it should be used in small quantities.

The preservative Rokonsal is suitable for emulsions but also for shampoos and shower gels. It is able to act against bacteria and at the same time inhibits the growth of yeast and mould.
